Men's Cross Country | 10/15/21 | 12:42 AM
Helena, Mont. – The 23
rd ranked Saints women and 24
th ranked Saints men will take to the cross country course again this Saturday October 16 at the Inland Empire Championships in Lewiston, ID.
The meet will feature the stiffest NAIA competition Carroll has faced thus far this season with three other teams ranked in the Top 25 on each side. In total, 17 teams from the NAIA, NCAA, and NJCAA are expected for a count of around 170 men and 130 women. The course is predicted to be fast due to a combination of lower elevation (745') and a hard, packed surface.
"The number of athletes and national caliber teams racing will give us our best opportunity yet to prepare for meeting our end of season goals and to test ourselves against a tough challenge," shared Head Coach
Shannon Flynn. "We have great momentum as a team coming out of last weekend, but we need to stay hungry and need to stick together since we know there will be a heightened and unique atmosphere."
The women's 5k will start at 10:30 am Pacific Time (11:30 am Mountain Time), and the men's 8k will start at 11:30 am Pacific Time (12:30 Mountain Time). The race will be streamed on Lewis-Clark State's website at
lcwarriors.com/watch or on their Facebook Live if technical difficulties arise.
