HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College men's soccer team tied with the Northwest University Eagles 1-1 on Friday afternoon at Nelson Stadium.
Carroll got the scoring started early on in the game as
Nick Lowrimore found the back of the net in the eighth minute.
Keegan Lyons assisted on what would be the first and only goal for the Saints.
Northwest fired back with a goal of their own in the sixteenth minute. Elliot Misic scored for the Eagles to even the score at 1-1.
That would be the only scoring from the contest, but it wasn't for a lack of opportunities. Carroll finished the game with 17 shots, 14 of which were on target. The Eagles totaled 10 shots, six of which were on target.
Carroll is now 2-4-1 on the season and 2-2-1 in conference. The Saints will return to the pitch on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. to take on Evergreen State College.
