HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College Fighting Saints women's team won, while the men took second at the Frontier Conference Rumble on Thursday at Tenmile Creek Park.
Carroll College women's team finished with 32 places, 22 ahead of second place Montana Western. It's the second consecutive meet the Saints have won.
"The women had an amazing day with multiple season and personal records," Saints coach Shannon Flynn said. "They exhibited exemplary unselfish running with multiple teammates breaking the wind for others."
Reghan Worley led the charge, finishing fourth overall in a time of 18:52.
Natalie Yocum and Elly Machado took the second two spots, finishing fifth and sixth respectively in times of 18:59.50 and 19:19.90.
Katelyn McKay (19:35.60) and Kendyl Pierson (20:04.20) rounded out the top five Saints.
Montana Tech's Becca Richtman won the womens' 5K in a time of 18:28.80

The Saints men's team narrowly missed out on a second consecutive victory, finishing second to Rocky Mountain College by two places.
Rocky's Jackson Wilson won the 8K in a time of 26:52.20.
Spencer Swaim led the Saints with a third place finish in a time of 27:18.40.
James Normandeau was close behind, finishing in fourth in a time of 27:22.80.
Jonah Fisher (7th, 27:36.30), Joe O'Sullivan (16th, 28:48.70) and Conner Bawden (17th, 28:55.20) rounded out Carroll's top five.
"Considering the circumstances with a small team and big wind today, the men's narrow second palace finish was commendable," Flynn said. "We still saw a PR from Joe O'Sullivan and were able to identify positives for each athlete. It was fun to see each group both celebrating and strategizing ways we can keep getting better."
The Saints' next race is October 9 in Billings, Montana.
