HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College Fighting Saints basketball programs are once again partnered with other Frontier Conference basketball programs to bolster the fourth annual Hoops For A Cause.

The program aims to give back to a person or family in need through fundraising from basketball clinics. This year, Hoops For A Cause proceeds will go to support Finnley Grace Foster and her family. Finnley is the daughter of Pat Foster and Katie Whitmore. Pat has been a longtime high school and college official in Montana, and officiated Frontier Conference men's and women's games for five seasons.

Finnley has dealt with a lifetime of major medical issues. \

Carroll coaches will be among Frontier Conferences that are presenting for 30 minutes via Zoom, giving a free basketball clinic over their allotted time slot.

"Really excited to support this event again," Saints coach Rachelle Sayers said. "Coach (Chris) Mouat has done a great job keeping it going and rally a lot of support for our communities. This is an opportunity for all of us, as Frontier Conference coaches to set aside our competitiveness and differences and use our platform to bring about something positive and impactful in the lives of others."

Sayers and men's basketball coach Kurt Paulson both will lead 30 minute sessions.

There is a GoFundMe account set up for Finnley. Anyone wishing to contribute to her cause can find the information at www.gofundme.com and use the title Hoops For A Cause Supporting Finnley Grace. You can also follow her story on Facebook by entering Prayers for Finnley Grace.
