HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College Fighting Saints softball team will look to earn another Cascade Collegiate Conference series this weekend when they host Oregon Tech this weekend at Centennial Park.

"Looking forward to another great weekend at home," Saints coach Aaron Jackson said. "OIT is historically one of the top teams in the CCC and nationally. We look to continue to develop our process and keep building. Each week we set out to win a series and this will be our focus."

Carroll (8-7, 4-3 CCC) earned a series win against Warner Pacific last weekend.

The Saints will be looking for more big performances out of their top players as they host an Oregon Tech (8-9, 2-4) that just fell out of the Top 25 rankings. Carroll is led at the plate by Jessica Nimmo's .359 batting average. Kendall Mooney leads the team in RBI with 12.

The Saints' offense has been potent lately. Carroll ranks No. 4 in the NAIA in total doubles (38) and No. 8 in the NAIA in doubles per game 2.5.

On the mound, the Saints are getting production from freshman Abby Hanley, who holds a 3.3 ERA and leads the Cascade in strikeouts at 6.1 per game (28 total).

The Owls are led by Neenah Pangillinan's .450 batting average. On the mound, Emily McAdams posts a 2.45 ERA to lead the team.

The first doubleheader begins Friday at 1 p.m. at Centennial Park.

The game will be streamed via Carroll Athletic's Facebook and/or YouTube pages.
