HELENA, Mont. -- Three Carroll College Fighting Saints women's basketball players were honored by the Frontier Conference on Wednesday.

Junior guards Dani Wagner and Christine Denny were named first team all-conference, while sophomore guard Sienna Swannack was named an honorable mention. Saints senior forward Taylor Salonen was named the Saints' Champion of Character.

"I am very happy for Christine, Dani, Sienna and Taylor," Saints coach Rachelle Sayers said. "They all have worked extremely hard and are very bought into our team and what we are trying to accomplish. Individual awards always come down to your team. Your players are only as successful as the team around them, so for that, I am very proud of them all. This group of upperclassmen will be making their third straight NAIA National Tourney, have won 2 Conference titles and 2 Conference Tournament Championships, and have won three games at the National tourney. The stage is set for a big finish in Billings."

Wagner, a guard from Havre, Montana, leads the Saints in scoring at 13.4 points per game. Her five rebounds per night are second on the team. She shot 44% from the field, and 31% from deep, while knocking down 76% percent of her free throws. Wagner was a second team all-conference performer last season.

Denny, a guard from Fairfield, Washington, is No. 2 on the Saints in scoring at 12.4 points per game. She led the team in rebounding at 6.4 per game, while shooting 43% from the field and 77% from the foul line. Denny also earned second team all-conference honors last season.

Swannack, a sophomore guard from Nine Mile Falls, Washington, is the Saints' third top scorer, averaging 9.4 points per game. She hauls in four rebounds per night and shoots 40% from the field, 36% from deep and 90% from the foul line.
