HELENA, Mont. -- Despite double-digit scoring efforts from four Fighting Saints, No. 17-ranked Carroll College fell 70-62 to No. 18-ranked Montana State-Northern on Wednesday in Havre.
Dani Wagner led the Saints with 15 points, while
Kamden Hilborn added 14,
Christine Denny scored another 12 and
Sienna Swannack tallied 11.
MSU-Northern's Kenya Lorton scored a game-high 19 points.
Northern (15-4, 4-3 Frontier) took a 33-26 lead into halftime and never trailed again.
The Saints (13-6, 5-2) battled back to tie the game once in the third quarter, but couldn't muster a big enough run to overtake the Skylights. The loss broke a six-game winning streak for the Saints.
Carroll is now 1-1 against the Skylights this season with both games being played in Havre. The third game of the series will take place in the PE Center on February 28.
The Saints next head to Providence on Saturday.
