HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College volleyball team is back in the PE Center this weekend, playing host to No. 16 Providence and Montana State-Northern on Friday and Saturday.
The Saints (6-6, 1-1 Frontier Conference) will be looking to build upon their last match in the PE Center, when they defeated Montana Western 3-0 on Sept. 19.
The Saints enter the match No. 2 in the NAIA in blocks per game at 2.77. Senior
Hannah Dean is No. 3 in the NAIA in blocks per game at 1.56.
The Saints will need that production and more when Providence (12-2) comes to town.
Kelsey Shaver's 5.03 points per game lead her team, while her 177 kills are No. 2 in the Frontier Conference.
Providence opened up conference play with a pair of 3-0 sweeps over Lewis-Clark State and Montana State-Northern.
On Saturday, Carroll welcomes in Northern (6-9, 0-2), who are now led by head coach Jerry Wagner.
The Saints' first match against Providence begins at 7 p.m. on Friday. If you can't make the game, a webstream will be available on the
Carroll Athletics YouTube page.
