2019 Women's Volleyball Roster
Biography
Hannah Dean is expected to take the reins of the interior game as Cassidy Hashley will sit out the season on a medical redshirt.
Dean enters her junior year with 483 career points and 354 career rebounds. She had a breakout season in 2016-17 after Baylee Watson moved to three-guard position allowing Dean to join Hashley as the starters on the inside.
She earned Frontier Honorable Mention All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors.
She was named to the Frontier Preseason All-Conference team.
Dean came to Carroll from Gardiner High School, but she actually grew up in Mammoth, Wyo., within the borders of Yellowstone National Park. She led Gardiner to a Class C championship in basketball in her senior season and three straight State C titles in Volleyball.
"Hannah had a very productive summer, she worked extremely hard," Sayers said. "Hannah has developed, adding strength and is in the best shape of her life. She's been in able to put some time into her skill package and can extend the defense with her three-pointer. Taking people off the dribble has always been a strength of hers. It'll come down to how many jump shots she can hit and knocking down her free throws. I think she will spend a ton of time at the line."
