HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College volleyball team fell 3-0 to No. 23 Rocky Mountain College on Saturday in Billings, Montana.
The Saints (6-6, 1-1 Frontier Conference) had posted three consecutive sweeps before running into Rocky.
The Battlin' Bears (9-4, 2-0) won 26-24, 25-19 and 25-19.
Carroll had big performances from
Lexi Mikkelsen,
Hannah Dean and
Sophia Spoja, who each had eight kills.
Taelyr Krantz and Spoja each had two blocks.
Errors undid the Saints. Carroll had 20 on the evening.
Next week, the Saints host Providence and Montana State-Northern on Sept. 27 and 28.
