HELENA, Mont. -- A Montana legend will grace the national runner-up Fighting Saints with his presence this October. 

Former University of Montana and Hall of Fame coach Robin Selvig headlines the Carroll Men's Basketball Tipoff Dinner on October 12, sponsored by First Interstate Bank. The event will begin with a social at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and then the main program is set to begin at 7.

"We are so grateful to have the sponsorship of First Interstate Bank for this event and also excited for Robing Selvig our guest speaker," Saints coach Kurt Paulson said. "We know that the community will support this event and meet our many new faces on this year's team."

With 865 wins over the course of his 38 seasons leading the Lady Griz, the Outlook, Montana, native brings a rare knowledge and extensive hoops background that Saints fans will enjoy. 

"The Carroll men's basketball team would like to invite you to our 2019 Tipoff Dinner," Paulson said. "Coach Selvig will entertain you with all his eastern Montana humor and share his experiences as the hall of fame coach of the Montana Lady Griz. You will also have a chance to meet the Carroll men's basketball team and bid on some excellent silent auction items. Please join us for a fun evening to help raise money for Carroll men's basketball." 

The dinner will be held in the Lower Cube at the Carroll Campus Center. The cost to attend is $75 per person. A table for 10 can be purchased for $500.
