10 Saints softball players named CCC academic all-conference

HELENA, Mont. -- Ten Carroll College Fighting Saints softball players became U.S. Bank Academic All-Conference performers, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced on Thursday.

"It's always been a commitment of ours to be a top team academically," Saints coach Aaron Jackson said. "It's a testament to the quality of student-athlete we have in our program. Carroll is a rigorous academic institution and you add on top of it our rigorous schedule in the fall and spring. For those 10 individuals to succeed  in the classroom is huge for us. It's a real testament to how hard they work."

To earn recognition as a CCC scholar-athlete, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and sophomore standing.

The softball team is back in action this Friday and Saturday in Great Fall against Providence.
