Box Score 1 HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College softball team held a 1-0 lead after four innings, but the Montana Grizzlies battled back to claim a 5-1 exhibition win over the Fighting Saints on Tuesday in Missoula.
Kendall Mooney grounded out to bring in the Saints only run on the day. As a team, the Saints put up only three hits on the day.
Carroll held its 1-0 lead until the bottom of the fifth inning when Montana put up five runs.
Maddy Stensby hit a triple to right center to score two. Katie Pippel doubled to score another and then Jessica McAlister hit a two-run homer to give the Grizzlies their margin.

Megan McCormick each went 1-for-3 at the plate for the Saints.
The Saints faced the Grizzlies in an exhibition doubleheader, but considered the second game a scrimmage, so it will not be reported on by Carroll College.
Carroll will be at home this weekend to face British Columbia on Friday and Saturday. Saturday will serve as Senior Day for the Saints.
