HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College softball team released its 2020 spring schedule on Wednesday.
The Saints will begin their season in February, traveling down to Lake Elsinore, California, to compete in the NAIA Classic, which is set from Feb. 7-9.
"We are excited about our upcoming schedule as we continue to schedule the best teams in the country in preparation for the toughest conference schedule in the country," Saints coach
Aaron Jackson said.
In addition to the trip to California, the Saints face Montana State Billings and the University of Montana in high-profile non-conference action.
"Our nonconference is a good mix of quality NAIA opponents, a four-game series with D2 MSUB, and a double header versus the University of Montana," Jackson said. "This schedule will keep us sharp for a run in conference."
The Cascade Collegiate Conference will once again feature plenty of Top 25 talent, including defending national champion Southern Oregon. The CCC represented well at the 2019 World Series with conference member Oregon Tech also making the final field.
"As always our conference schedule is arguably the toughest schedule in the country," Jackson said. "With the top half of the conference potentially being ranked in the top 40 in the country we must be ready to play each weekend. With that being said the bottom half is no cake walk and we must be able to take care of the business as we try to climb to the top of Cascade Conference."
