HELENA, Mont. -- Carroll College volleyball player Jenna Starke was selected as a CoSIDA Academic All-District award winner.

The 2019 Academic All-District Volleyball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Honorees selected First Team Academic All-District advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.

Starke will now be in the running for Academic All-America honors.

Starke has been a strong contributor each season with the Saints and carried a 4.0 GPA all along the way. Her commitment to the community, through hours of volunteer work, and her various dedications beyond Carroll athletics and academics make her one of the most accomplished award winners.

Votes by members of CoSIDA propelled her to the honor and will determine if she becomes an Academic All-American.
