HELENA, Mont. -- It's time for Senior Day as the Fighting Saints prepare to take on University of Providence in the final game of the regular season.
"We look forward to the opportunity to fight at home for a playoff berth tomorrow," Saints coach
Doug Mello said. "Our practices this week have been intense and technically sound. The squad hopes to extend our lone senior
Konar Skindlov's season with a win. To say we are pumped up would be an understatement. Let's hope we have a big crowd to support us."
The pressure is on the Saints as they are currently eighth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings. Only the top eight teams make it to the conference tournament.
In the Argos' last two games they split, falling 2-1 to the Battlin' Bears of Rocky Mountain College and beating Walla Walla 6-0. Providence is fifth in the CCC with a conference record of 7-5-0 and an overall record of 9-5-1.
Carroll has also split their last two games beating Walla Walla 6-0 and falling short of Rocky 2-0. The Saints are 7-8-1 overall and 6-6 in the Cascade.
Carroll will be celebrating Konar Skindov, the lone senior before the game. Skindlov has played in 14 games this season for the Saints, starting in six.
Looking back at the history of the two teams, Carroll has the upper hand winning two of the last three meetings and tying 1-1 with Providence in 2018. Throughout the entire history of Carroll men's soccer, their record with the Argos is 2-2-1.
The game will be Saturday November 2 at 3:30 p.m. If you cannot attend the game be sure to tune in via livestream on the Carroll Athletics YouTube page.
