Carroll men's soccer team earns USC Team Academic Award

HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College men's soccer team received the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, the organization announced recently. 

The award is given to a team that holds a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). The Saints as a team held a 3.40 GPA. 

The Saints have earned the award every season under coach Doug Mello. Out of the 346 men's teams honored, the Saints held the 48th highest GPA in the country, regardless of college classification. 

Carroll College was just one of 258 schools that had both men's and women's programs honored.
