HELENA, Mont. -- Carroll College women's soccer took on Eastern Oregon University on Friday, but were not able to come away with the win, losing to the Mountaineers 2-0 in their 10th game of the season.
The Fighting Saints move to 4-5-1 overall and 1-4 in the Cascade.
With four minutes left before the half, Eastern's Josee Bassett was able to find the back of the net off an assist from Nan Kiebert. The Saints would end the half with six shots and two shots on goal. They hoped to keep the intensity up and get a tying goal in the second half.
The Saints weren't successful in getting a goal to fall but they would hold off any more goals from the Mountaineers until the 79th minute when Kayla Storm of Eastern scored off an assist from Nan Kiebert, making it her second assist of the game.
Charly Clements led the Saints with three shots on goal but was never able to connect as the Saints fell to the Mountaineers.
Carroll will play College of Idaho Saturday and will be aiming to pick up a win on their two-game road trip.
