Carroll men's soccer drop match to Warner Pacific 1-0

HELENA, Mont. -- Warner Pacific defeated the Carroll College men's soccer team 1-0 on Friday in Portland, Oregon.

The game began with a slow first half with neither team being able to put a scoring sequence together. With two minutes left in the first half Omar Alcazar scored off the assist from Oscar Padilla making the score 1-0 as the teams entered half time.

The second half would also be slow with neither team being able to find the back of the net. Despite the Fighting Saints' valiant efforts they were not able to get the tie or the win. The game was very defensive minded by both teams with Carroll only having five shots with just two on goal and Warner Pacific having six shots with one on goal.

This loss puts the Saints season record at 5-7-1 overall and 4-5 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. After this win Warner Pacific is now 7-4-1 and 4-3-1 in the conference.

The Saints will be looking to bounce back tomorrow as they play Multnomah University 5:30 PM.
