HELENA, Mont. -- The Fighting Saints men's soccer team fell 4-1 and 2-0 to Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho respectively this past weekend. Now, back in Helena for a two-game homestand, the Saints are looking to take down Northwest Christian University and Corban University.
The Beacons of Northwest Christian are also coming off of two consecutive losses -- a 1-0 loss to The Evergreen State College and a 2-0 loss to Northwest University. This should bode well for the Saints, as they took down both Evergreen and Northwest earlier this season. The Beacons are sitting with a current record of 2-5-0.
Corban University appears as the exact opposite of Northwest Christian, coming off a two-game win streak after most recently beating Evergreen State 2-1 and beating Northwest University 3-2. Corban's season record is currently an impressive 8-0-1.
Carroll will be hoping to improve their 4-5-1 overall record and their 3-3 record in conference. The match against Northwest will be at 1:30 on Friday the 11th followed by the match against Corban University, also at 1:30, on Saturday the 12th.
The Saints currently sit in the eighth and final playoff spot of the CCC standings. Wins this weekend would make their path to the postseason easier.
