HELENA, Mont, -- No. 4 Carroll avenged an earlier loss to Rocky Mountain College in Billings in convincing fashion, defeating the Battlin' Bears 69-50 on Thursday evening.
After a tightly contested first half, the Saints locked down the Battlin' Bears in the second half, holding them to 18 points in 20 minutes to run away with the victory.
The 50 points is the least the Saints have allowed this season.
Dane Warp led all scorers with 22 points, posting an efficient 9-for-14 mark from the field.
Ife Kalejaiye added 16,
Shamrock Campbell had 11 and
Match Burnham had 10 points and eight rebounds to bolster the Saints.
Clayton Ladine led Rocky with 17 points.
The last time the Saints played in Billings, Carroll struggled with its shot. On Thursday, the Saints shot 46 percent from the field, 57 percent from the three-point line and 81 percent from the free-throw line.
Carroll held Rocky to 34 percent from the field and 37 percent from beyond the arc.
The victory avenges a loss at Rocky just two weeks ago, when the Saints fell 78-66. Carroll now owns a victory over every Frontier foe.
Carroll's next contest comes in a week in the PE Center against No. 16 Lewis-Clark State College.
