HELENA, Mont.- Carroll College softball is slated to play six games in three days starting with a Cascade Conference series against Northwest University Friday and Saturday before hosting Providence in the final two games of the a series that was started Tuesday. All games are scheduled to be played at Capital High School Field.Â
A late-season winter storm hit the Helena Valley Thursday, but the games are expected to go on as scheduled. Changes may be made to the time and location and will be announced on social media.Â
The Saints (23-12, 10-7 CCC) enter the weekend having won five of the last six games. Carroll is led by
Allison Williams and
Tess Eaton in the circle. They each have 10 wins. Williams has a 2.22 ERA with a 10-6 record. Eaton has an 1.35 ERA with a 10-0 record.Â
On the offensive end,
Allison Bayer leads the Saints with a .375 batting average after going 7-7 over the last two games. Nine Saints have an average over .300. Williams has a team-high 21 RBIs.
Northwest (12-25, 5-13 CCC) is 1-5 in its last six games. The Eagles have a team ERA of 5.04 and are led by Rachel Hawley with an 8-13 record.Â
Hannah Yelas has a team-high average of .360. Alicia Loiler has a team-high 17 RBIs.
Sunday, the Saints play Providence Carroll swept the first doubleheader 4-0 and 11-3 (5 inn.)
