PRESEASON PROSPECTUS
HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College softball team opens the season at the NAIA SO-CAL Classic at the Big League Dreams park in West Covina, Calif.

The Saints play seven games in three days, starting Friday with San Diego Christian and Hope International before playing William Jessop, Vanguard and Hope International Saturday. Carroll closes the weekend against Marymount California and Menlo College Sunday.

The Saints were only supposed to play six games, but Carroll stepped in to play a third Saturday.

Carroll is coming off of a disappointing 15-21 year but returns the bulk of one of the best pitching staffs in the Cascade Conference with
Tess Eaton,
Allison Williams,
Courtney Schroeder and
Brooke Brown all coming back.

Offensively,
Anna ApRoberts leads the returning lineup for Carroll. The sophomore had a team-high 31 hits last season.

The weekend is the season opener for Carroll, but all of the Saints' competition on the weekend has played games.

San Diego Christian is 2-2 on the year after splitting games with Antelope Valley and Embry-Riddle.

Hope International opened the season 4-0 with wins over AVU and Benedictine-Mesa.
Â
William Jessop is 4-2 on the year. They picked up a pair of wins over Saint Katherine and split with Southern Oregon and Simpson.

Marymount picked up a pair of wins over Puget Sound.
Â
Menlo comes into the weekend 4-1.
