HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College men's soccer plays its first home game of the season Friday afternoon against Presentation College at Nelson Stadium at 4 p.m.
Carroll comes into this game with a record of 0-1 after falling to Westminster College last weekend by a score of 2-1. They played the entire second half a man down and nearly earned the equalizer in the final minutes.
The Saints look to rebound Friday after an extended break between games and shake off the stinging loss.
"We went through our three preseason games undefeated," head coach
Doug Mello said. "Our opener was frustrating because we outplayed a team in the second half a man down. The guys have really responded. We've had two weeks to train, and we are ready to go."
Presentation College, who is also known as the Saints, also comes into the contest looking for its first win with a record of 0-5. They have struggled in their first five matches allowing 45 goals.
"Presentation is struggling, but we can't look at any game as beneath us, and we have to play to the best of our abilities every time we step onto the turf," Mello said. "We hope to get a lot of guys in on the action tomorrow."
A live stream of Friday's game will be available on the
Carroll youtube channel.
