HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College Volleyball fell to Rocky Mountain 25-18, 25-23, 25-16 Saturday afternoon at the PE Center in Helena.
After a slow start in the first set, Carroll battled back to take a 17-13 lead. Rocky then rattled off an 8-0 run to take a 21-17 lead, en route to a 25-18 win.
In the second set, Carroll built a 4-1 lead, but Rocky answered back. The two teams traded leads until tied at 21. Rocky closed the set with a 4-2 run to earn the 25-23 set.
The third set was all RMC as the Bears cruised to the 25-16 win.
Carroll struggled to find consistent hitting with 36 kills to 20 errors for a .118 attack percentage.
Rayna Pilgeram led Carroll with 11 kills from the setter position. She also tallied a team-high 25 assists and 12 digs.
Casey Berry tallied 21 digs in the match.
Rocky Mountain notched a .228 hitting percentage in the win with 49 kills and 15 errors.
The Saint next travel to Montana Western on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
