The second half started with an equalizer from UNC's Libby Gregory in the 51st minute, but the Saints rebounded with a corner kick goal in the 66th minute from
Charly Clements with an assist by
Talya Vaira.
The Saints outshot NCU 12-9, including a 7-6 margin in shots on goal. The Saints also had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Carroll moves to 1-0-1 in Cascade play and 5-2-1 overall.
The Saints travel to play Eastern Oregon and Warner Pacific next weekend.
