Saints Face Corban, UBC to Close Out Regular Season

HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College Softball plays seven games in three days to close out the regular season on the road. 

The Saints play four games in two days against No. 16 Corban on the road in Salem, Oregon. The Saints then play a neutral site tripleheader Sunday against the University of British Columbia, a makeup series for a home series that was canceled because of snow. 

Carroll comes into the weekend with an 8-13 and is tied with British Columbia for sixth place, meaning Sunday's series will be for the spot in the Cascade tournament. League-leading Corban is 21-3 in conference and 37-7 overall. 

The Saints are led by freshman Anna ApRoberts at the place with a .333 batting average with 13 RBIs. Alison Williams highlights the pitching rotation; the freshman has a 2.32 ERA and 46 strikeouts. 

Corban's Iris Rodriguez has a .424 average, and Jessie Isham has a team-high 62 RBIs. Three Corban pitchers have an ERA under 3.46, led by Sabrina Boyd with a 1.38 ERA.

UBC is led byHillary Strelau with a .413 average. Darrien Gerard has a 2.56 ERA to lead the pitching staff.
