HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College softball hosts No. 18 Southern Oregon Friday and Saturday for the final home stand of the season at Centennial Park in Helena.
The Saints (12-15, 8-10 Cascade) have dropped six of the last eight games and are still struggling to find consistency at the plate while Southern Oregon comes into the weekend with a 16-5 record in conference play and a 32-9 record overall.
Carroll has a team batting average of .248, and Anna Aproberts leads the way with 26 hits and 13 RBIs with a .333 batting average. Carroll's pitching rotation continues to shine.
Allison Williams has a 2.32 REA with a 5-2 record.
Tess Eaton is 4-3 on the year with a 2.60 ERA.
Southern Oregon has a team batting average of .338, and they have put up an incredible 241 runs on the year while giving up just 120.
Kelsey Randall leads the Raiders with a .443 batting average while Harlee Donovan has a team-high 45 RBIs. Gabby Sandoval is the No. 1 pitcher for SOU; she had a 12-5 record with a 3.18 ERA. Karlee Coughlin has an 11-0 record with 2.11 ERA.
On paper, the Raiders have a clear advantage, but Carroll head coach
Aaron Jackson doesn't shy away from a challenge, especially on the last home games for seniors

"We are excited to be at home this weekend and take on another top 25 team," Jackson said. "This team is on the cusp of breaking out, and we are excited to do that on our home field. We control our own destiny for the postseason and will take it one game at a time. On Saturday we get the opportunity to celebrate two seniors in Courtney and Megan. We look to send them out on a high note at home."
