HELENA, Mont. – Fresh off a four-game sweep of Northwest Christian, the Carroll College softball team hosts Eastern Oregon Friday and Saturday in a four-game series with doubleheaders each day at Centennial Park in Helena.
The Saints at 6-3 in Cascade play (8-7 overall) are fifth in the conference while the Mounties are tied for second at 9-3 (15-8 overall).
Eastern Oregon is led by Cheyenne Barker who has a .466 batting average and has knocked in 31 RBIs. Hailey Kline leads the Mounties in the circle with a 2.29 ERA, and an 8-5 record in 15 games pitched.
Freshman
Anna ApRoberts has been the breakout player in the Carroll offensive attack. She has a .382 batting average with eight RBIs, tied with
Ashley Davis for the team lead.
In the circle,
Allison Williams is the reigning Cascade Conference pitcher of the week. She has a 1.40 ERA and a 4-0 record.
Tess Eaton is off to stellar season with a 1.52 ERA and a 3-1 record.
"We are excited to be back at home again this weekend," head coach
Aaron Jackson said. "We look to build on last weekend success and look to create some separation in the conference standings. This weekend can set us up for a run at the conference title."
The Saints will also debut a new portable scoreboard. The trailer and stand for the scoreboard were donated and built in Helena by Spieker Sprinklers.
Friday's games are slated for 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. and Saturday's games are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
