HELENA, Mont.  – It comes weeks after it was initially supposed to, but the Carroll College softball team hosts Northwest Christian for four games Friday and Saturday in the 2017 home opening series for the Fighting Saints. 

Carroll comes into the weekend with a 4-7 record and a 3-3 Cascade Conference mark. The 11 games played is the fewest of any team in the Cascade and eight of the 10 Cascade teams have played at least 19 games on the year. 

Carroll is led in the circle by Allison Williams who has a 2-0 record and a 1.00 ERA. Anna ApRoberts has a .348 batting average and has knocked in four RBIs. Williams has a team-high six RBIs. 

Northwest Christian is 2-7 in Cascade play and 2-17 overall. Their only wins on the year are a pair of wins against Northwest (Wash.).

Jessica Garner is hitting a team-high .364 average and Aver Daniels has knocked out 14 RBIs. Katie Walker has a team-high 3.64 ERA and a 2-7 record in the circle. 

The teams split the season series a year ago with both teams winning a pair of games on their home fields. 

The games are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Field just east of the Carroll campus. Live updates will be available via the Carroll twitter page.
