WEST COVINA, Calif. – After three days and multiple attempts to play several different opponents, the Carroll College softball team's final opportunity to play a pair of games Sunday were rebuffed.
Torrential rain caused floods, downed trees and mudslides in the Los Angeles area. It also caused fields the three different venues that were available for use to be ruled unplayable.
Carroll played just three games on the trip, earning a 1-2 record.
The Saints return home and prepare for Frontier Conference play. Carroll opens Cascade action March 3-4 on the road against the University of Great Falls.
