Carroll Men's Basketball Host a Pair of Quality Opponents

HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College men's basketball team hosts a pair of tough non-conference teams beginning Friday with Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) who received votes in the NAIA preseason poll and Southwestern Christian (Okla.) Saturday.

The Saints enter the weekend with a 4-0 record and should be well rested after nearly two weeks off since playing their last game on the road against St. Francis (Ill.). Six Carroll players are averaging double figures with Ryan Imhoff leading the way with 18.5 points per game. The Saints are first in the NAIA in field goal percentage and second in assist-to-turnover ratio.

Our Lady of the Lake comes into the game with a 2-1 record after winning a pair of games over Northern New Mexico before dropping their last game at Wayland Baptist. OLOTL is second in the NAIA in three-pointers made and turnover margin. They are also third in steals per game.

The game is the first home game since the season opener against Yellowstone Christian on Oct. 21.

"We're looking forward to playing in front of our home crowd," head coach Carson Cunningham Said. "Our Lady of the Lake is a national tournament caliber team. They play fast and like to press. We need to come ready to rock and roll."

Saturday, the Carroll plays the SCU Eagles who also come into the weekend with a 2-1 record. They will open the weekend Friday in Great Falls against Providence.

The Eagles are led by Fred Richardson III with 17.67 points per game. As a team, they are second in the NAIA in three-point field goal percentage.

Like Our Lady of the Lake, Southwestern Christian also plays a fast brand of ball," Cunningham said. "They'll present another tough challenge. Time to lace 'em up. "

Both games are slated for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on 94.9 ESPN Radio and online at ESPNMontana.com. Live video will be available via the Carroll Youtube channel and live stats will be available via Dakstats.
