Carroll Men's Soccer Plays Two Key Matches in Oregon

HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College men's soccer team is currently tied for eighth place in the Cascade Conference, the final spot to advance to the Cascade tournament. Carroll has a pair of games road games on tap against tough competition with a chance to lock up a trip to the postseason.
 
The Saints enter the match with a 5-6 record, tied with College of Idaho and Providence. Carroll owns tiebreakers over both opponents because of head to head victories.
 
Three players have five goals on the year to lead the Saints, and Bernhardt Di Cino had a 1.110 goal against average.
 
Carroll opens the weekend against Oregon Tech who sits just in front of the Saints in Cascade standings with a 5-5-1 record. A pair of Owls have a team-high four goals each. Gerardo Skewes has a 1.340 goal against average.
 
Saturday, the Saints meet a defensive juggernaut in Southern Oregon. The Raiders have, an NAIA-high nine shutouts, and goalkeeper Wyatt Zabinski is 19th in the NAIA in goal against average of .810. Offensively, the Raiders are no slouches with 25 goals on the year. Carlos Magana has a team-high five on the season.
