HELENA, Mont. – The No. 2 seed in the upcoming Frontier Conference playoffs is on the line Thursday when the No. 21 Carroll College men's basketball team takes on No. 22 Montana Western Bulldogs on the road in Dillon.
The Saints and Dawgs are tied at 11-5 in Frontier play after Carroll dropped three-straight games. The two teams split the previous two meetings, both of which were exciting games. Carroll won the first game on a buzzer beater from
Zach Taylor in the final seconds. In the second game, Western pulled off a double-digit comeback to win in double overtime.
Zach Taylor leads the Saints with 16.83 points per game and
Ryan Imhoff has a team0high 6.31 rebounds per game.
The Bulldogs are on a four-game win streak but both teams look to be in good position to make an NAIA Tournament appearance.
Dexter Williams Jr. leads UMW with 15.96 points and 7.64 rebounds per game.
The game is the final road game of the regular-season for the Saints who close out the slate with a home game against Rocky Mountain Saturday in Helena.
The two teams face off at 7:30 p.m.
