HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll College women's basketball team started off Friday's game against the College of Idaho with a 17-2 run and held the Yotes at arm's length for the rest of the evening en route to the 82-66 win to move to 3-0 on the year.
Brittney Johnson was 7-12 from the field for a game-high 17 points while
Cassidy Hashley tallied 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Hannah Dean and
Baylee Watson scored 11 each for Carroll.
Michaela Dowdy had nine points and an incredible seven blocks for the game.
Carroll outrebounded C of I 54-28 and points in the paint 28-18. The Saints were 27-53(51.9 percent) from the field while the Yotes were 21-55 (38.2 percent).
Carroll next travels to the University of Montana for an exhibition game against the Lady Griz and first-year head coach Shanon Schweyen.
The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Dahlberg Arena.
