GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Cassidy Hashley scored a career-high 29 points but the Carroll College women's basketball team fell to the University of Great Falls 67-64 Saturday night in Great Falls.
The Saints and Argos battle early and neither team could pull away with the biggest lead in the first half being four points with 10 lead changes and nine ties before the break.
UGF started to pull away near the end of the third quarter, building their largest lead 60-51 with on a pair of free throws to start the fourth quarter before the Saints made a run.
Carroll cut the lead to 62-60 but back-to-back buckets from the Argo extended the lead back to 67-60. Carroll hit two shots to cut it to 67-64 and Hashley blocked a shot to give the Saints the ball and one more possession.

Brittney Johnson got the rebound with 11 seconds left. The Saints didn't have a time out and
Hannah Dean got off one more shot at the buzzer but it fell short giving the Argos the win.
Along with Hashley's career high,
Katie Estey tallied 14 points. The Saints outrebounded UGF 34-29 but the Argos were 26 of 53 (49.1 percent) from the field. Carroll didn't shoot poorly hitting one 23 of 56 (41.1 percent.)
The Saints travel to play Montana Western on Thursday, Jan. 14. In their next action.
