BILLINGS, Mont. – The last time the Carroll men's soccer team took the pitch they were on the winning side of a blowout, a 4-1 win over the University of Lethbridge. Two weeks later the Saints were on the receiving end of the blowout as they fell to MSU Billings 5-0 Friday evening.
"We looked out of sorts and just didn't get out of our own way today," head coach
Doug Mello said. "Every time we made a mistake it cost us a goal. We didn't respond well to our mistakes and the match got away from us."
The Yellowjackets scored in the sixth, 27th, 56th, 68th and 83rd minutes. Ricardo Palomino tallied two goals to lead the attack.
Carroll looks to rebound Sunday against the University of Mary in a neutral site game in Billings. The teams take the pitch at 1 p.m.
