BUTTE, Mont. – in two meetings this season between Carroll volleyball and Montana Tech both went to five games. The Saints came out on top in the first match but fell Friday night in the second meeting of the two teams.
The Diggers won the first set before swapping winners in each consecutive set en route to a 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-12.
Paige Montgomery led the Saints with 17 kills and
Holly Morehouse tallied 16.
The Saints hit a.207 hitting percentage compared to .251 for the Diggers.
Jonni Dorr tallied 43 assists to pace the Carroll offense and
Rebecca Sweeney had 21 digs to lead the Carroll defense.
The Saints next play the University of Great Falls in Great Falls on Oct. 29.
