Biography

Steffi Smith makes her way to Carroll from Castro Valley, Calif., after an excellent high school career where she patrolled the middle of the field for her team. The Covid-19 pandemic got in the way of a lot of her time as an upperclassman, but before that she was an all-league honorable mention player, and helped lead her team to the semi-finals. The 2021 California high school season recently came to an end, and Smith led her team in assists. She was also a team captain. Steffi, who is the daughter of Bobby and Sue Smith, graduated high school with a 3.7 GPA and plans on studying nursing this fall when she sets foot on campus. She is not the first in her family to play soccer at Carroll. Her older cousin is Madison Apsey, who played for the Saints from 2014-2017.
