2022
Amaya is one of 3 team captains on the 2022 squad. Her work ethic, drive and determination makes her very valuable as well as her spectacular soccer abilities in the midfield. Her creativity and precise distribution help the offensive attacks and her physical presence on defense makes it hard for opposing midfielders to build up in the middle. We are very excited for her to continue to grow and lead the team. 

2021
In her first fully healthy season, Winkler started in 6 of the 16 games of 2021 but played in all 16 for the Saints. She scored 1 goal on 13 shots with 6 on goal. 

2020/2021
After nearly 560 days of waiting to get back on the pitch, Winkler started in 8/9 games taking 4 shots with 3 on goal. 

2019
Medical Red-Shirt year. Winkler suffered a season ending injury in her 1st collegiate game her Freshman. 
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Winkler is a midfielder and played three years of varsity for the Billings West Golden Bears. She became her team's captain her senior season when she recorded seven goals and seven assists. She was selected as an all-state performer this past season. She holds a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. 

PERSONAL
Winkler's family roots at Carroll College run deep. Her uncle, Larry Iverson is in the Carroll Athletic Hall of Fame after playing football for the Saints. Her aunt, Sarah Sullivan, played volleyball for the Saints. Another aunt and grandfather graduated from Carroll College as well.
