Coach McGovern hails from the east coast where he played high school, college and amateur men's team soccer. Phil has been playing or coaching soccer going on 40 years and has the same passion for the game as he had when he first learned the beautiful game.  Coach McGovern has a USSF C License and an Advanced National Diploma from the NSCAA. In High School coaching reached the State Finals in Delaware, started and improved a Girls program in Cheyenne, WY, in the NJCAA coached a top ten team Delaware Community College, was the first club coach of the University of Delaware Women's club team. He has owned and operated Diamond State Soccer Camps, Coached numerous Club and Olympic Development Program teams with great success. 

Currently he is the Executive Director for the Helena Youth Soccer Association in Helena. MT
