- Family immigrated to the USA and settled down in the Chicago area
- Grew up playing in competitive clubs in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago which produced many players that played for the USA national team and internationally
- Ended up not following the obvious path, but rather took a different path and moved to Montana, but couldn’t stay away from the beautiful game for too long and began coaching.
- Coached competitive teams in Montana for 8+ years, winning state championships and tournaments all across the state.
- Developed many players into the Montana ODP Program.

- Played as forward. Usually, winger or Striker. Continue to play to this day in pickup games and adult league games.
- Began Assistant coaching for Carroll in the Fall of 2020
- Hopes to bring passion, drive, and contribute to positive results for Carroll soccer
- A lifelong pupil of the beautiful game, Martin enjoys studying every aspect from fitness, to tactics, and the styles of many different Top-level coaches such as Marcelo Bielsa, Pep Guardiola, and Jose Mourinho.
- Believes in not only developing the player, but also to continually develop and evolve as a coach.
- If he's not playing or coaching soccer, then he's usually out rock climbing or running.
- Has traveled all over the country to different climbing areas in pursuit of achieving higher grades in climbing.
- Finisher in the 2019 Bighorn 100-mile ultra-marathon and many other races.
- If he does have a relaxed day or a day of recovery from other activities, then you’ll probably find him knee deep in a creek with a fly rod in hand.
