HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL
Melzer was a three-time team captain and first-team all-conference player at Gonzaga Prep. He was a team captain. In addition to earning three varsity letters in football, Melzer earned varsity letters in lacrosse and track. Off the field, Melzer is a 3A academic state champion. Mezler is the son of Angelie and Rod Melzer and has two brothers (Kaz and Oz). He plans to pursue a degree in business.
