Quote from Coach Van Diest: “Tanner comes out of spring football as our number three quarterback behind Mac Roche and JT Linder. We will also be looking to play Tanner at some wide receiver spots.”

2014: Contributed on scout team... named Academic All-Conference.

2013: Redshirted and contributed on scout team.

High School: Tanner was named First-Team All-Conference and was the conference's Offensive Player of the Year in 2012... named Second-Team All-State in Idaho in 2012... three-year starter at quarterback and was captain all three years... four-year starter at Boise High School, playing wide receiver as a freshman in 2009... four-year letter winner in track... carried a 4.2 GPA.

Personal: Parents are Andy and Cindy Gustavsen of Boise, Idaho. Tanner is majoring in Biology and Chemistry.
