Quote from Coach Van Diest: “Ryan will be a four-year starter this fall. He can play both offensive tackle and offensive guard. We are not sure where he will start this year, depending on a couple of other players and their positions. Probably one of the most athletic lineman we have ever had, he does a great job pulling and is an outstanding pass protector. He is a very physical football player.”

2014: Started two games at right guard and 10 at left guard... received Second-Team All-Frontier Conference honors... named an NAIA Scholar Athlete and to the Academic All-Conference team.

2013: Started all 14 games at right guard... received Second-Team All-Frontier Conference honors... NAIA Scholar-Athlete...named an NAIA Scholar Athlete and to the Academic All-Conference team.

2012: Started all 11 games at left guard...received Second-Team All-Frontier Conference honors... NAIA Scholar-Athlete...named an NAIA Scholar Athlete and to the Academic All-Conference team.

2011: Redshirted and contributed on scout team.

High School:
Ryan was a three-year starter at Custer County High, where he was also team captain both in 2009 and 2010... helped lead the Cowboys to a state championship in 2008 and 2010... earned All-State offensive tackle, First-Team All-Conference offensive tackle and defensive tackle in 2010... selected to play in the Mon/Dak Game... three-year letterman in basketball... three-year letterman in track and field where he has received All-State Honors... was a Honor Roll student with a 3.3 GPA.
