Biography

Quote from Coach Van Diest: “Matt is a quarterback out of Missoula Loyola. He will probably run scout team again as he grows in the position. He picked up the offense pretty well last year. He is just at a position where he is playing behind a pretty loaded stack with Roche, Linder, and Gustavsen.”

2014: Redshirted and contributed on scout team. 

High School: Matt was a team captain in football and started at quarterback as a senior at Loyola Sacred Heart High School... All-Conference as a junior at wide receiver... in 2012 and 2013 his teams went undefeated with two state titles... threw for 2,100 yards in 2013 with 32 touchdowns passes and 459 rush yards... selected to play in the Class B All-Star Game... Academic All-State... 4.0 GPA.

Personal: Parents are Patrick and Laurie McHugh of Missoula, Mont. Matt is majoring in Civil Engineering.
