High School: Jacob was a three year letter winner and elected team captain in 2010 and 2011... First-Team All-Conference offensive guard and defensive tackle and received All-State offensive guard in 2010... Second-Team offensive guard and defensive tackle in 2011... won the Wildcat Heart Award and Leadership Award in 2010 and the Ray Johnsrud Outstanding Award in 2011... lettered three times in wrestling and twice in track and field... three year Academic All-State Honoree.
