Nicely was team captain, first team all-conference linebacker and all-valley league defensive MVP as a senior at Monrovia. Nicely was first team all-league as a junior and a two-year varsity letter winner in track. Nicely is the son of Samantha and Jason Nicely and has one brother (Gage). Nicely plans to pursue a degree in business.
