Bandelow joined the Saints in the spring of 2019, and was elevated to Defensive Coordinator prior to the 2022 season. As the Defensive Coordinator, the Saints have had two NAIA All-Americans, 17 All-Conference selections, two Conference Players of the Year, one Conference Championship and one National Playoff Appearance. The Saints have led the Frontier Conference in Points Per Game Allowed, Total Yards Allowed, and Rushing Yards Allowed in each of Coach Bandelow's three seasons as Defensive Coordinator.Â
Bandelow previously coached three seasons at the University of Mary as the outside linebackers coach. He began coaching the secondary at UMary. Prior to his time at Mary, Bandelow served Scottsdale Community College as the video coordinator and assistant coach. He simultaneously juggled duties at Raymond S. Kellis High school in Glendale, Ariz., where he coached defensive backs. His coaching career started as an intern and video coordinator with the Arizona Rattlers in 2014.Â
He graduated with honors from Grand Canyon University in 2015 and obtained a Master of Business Administration from UMary in 2018.Â
