Molnar joined the Carroll staff prior to the 2023 season, working with the quarterback room.
Molnar is a longtime coach, with a wealth of experience at nearly every level of collegiate football. He began his coaching career at his alma mater Lock Haven University before accepting a GA position at Virginia. His career includes stops at Western Carolina, Illinois State, Kent State, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, and Indiana State, serving in multiple offensive roles.
In 2006 he joined Brian Kelly's staff at Central Michigan, proceeding to follow him on his next two stops, Cincinnati as a passing coordinator, and Notre Dame where he was Offensive Coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
In 2011, Molnar was named the Head Coach of NCAA Division I Massachusetts, where he spent two seasons.
Following his time at the helm of UMass, Molnar coached at Idaho, alongside Coach Purcell, from 2014 to 2021.
